Dr. Amon Porter, LCSW provides an array of culturally competent mental health and case management services to meet the needs of individuals, youth and families. Our focus is on mental health counseling as well as social work case management services. We serve clients regardless of ethnicity, culture, religion, sex, gender, age or background.

About
Dr. Amon Porter, Ph.D., L.C.S.W. is a trained clinical social worker. Dr. Porter obtained in Master Degree in Social Work from San Francisco State University and his Ph.D. in Social Work from Norfolk State University. He has been practicing clinical social work for over 15 years. Dr. Porter has an extensive experience in the field of Child Welfare, Mental Health, Adult and Aging, and Public Assistance Benefits. Dr. Porter is a lecturer in the Department of Social Work at California State University, East Bay.
Goals
Our primary goal is to make mental health services easily accessible to residents in Alameda, Contra Costa, Solano and other Bay Area Counties. We also aim to collaborate with California State University East Bay, Department of Social Work to develop a training institute for MSW students with a concentration in mental health, and to publish newsletters that address current issues in social work practice.
